Buffer
After the inspection table, the sorted product is transported to the buffer belt by a conveyor belt at an angle. The buffer belt where about 500 kg of product can be buffered, prevents immediate stoppage of the entire line if there is a disturbance before or after the buffer belt.
The belt is activated by a stop signal from the weigher, and will buffer the product with three mechanically linked driven belts. Photo cells are used to determine the height of the product in the buffer belt and move the slide plate backwards.
When the maximum position of the buffer belt is reached, a switch is operated which gives the signal to stop the line in front of the buffer belt.
the weigher. At start-up the buffer belt is automatically emptied before new product is transported to the weigher.

Manter crate filler
- Max. weigh per dump: 20 kg
- Maximum height of boxes: 400 mm
- Maximum width of boxes: 600 mm

- Citrus 7 kg: 450 packages/hour
- Processing weight per hour between 3,000 kilos and 3,750 kilos
- Powered roller conveyor in U-arrangement for supply of crates or boxes to crate filler
Including: Tarend rotating box emptying machine
This concept of automatic emptying was developed for very delicate and easily damaged products such as Nectarines, Peaches, Satsuma and other Citrus products.
From this position the crates, boxes and telescopic boxes, of which the lids have already been removed, are received by the system integrator. The supply to the rotary box emptying machine takes place via the 180-degree driven roller curve conveyor after which the boxes are separated from each other by the rotating drum with clamp and conveyor belt.
The carton emptyer can handle boxes/crates of up to 20 kg with a maximum size of 400 x 600 x 350 mm.
The PVC belt has a bubble structure that clamps around the box or crate. This belt does not come into contact with the product.
The rotating drum is fitted with a corrugated band which has a soft-touch effect or cushioning effect in relation to the product. This food-grade band is in contact with the product. Slow tilting of the product prevents stress on the product and the risk of product damage.
Both belts have synchronised control by means of a frequency regulator. The speed of these belts also controls the speed of emptying. The speed is set on the central control panel of the citrus inspection line so that the processes can be coordinated.
At the top of the emptying unit, the product is separated from the box or crate. The product is guided by the corrugated belt of the rotating drum and rolls on the belt to the inspection table. The box or crate is clamped by means of driven belts and positioned on the slide rails, at this point the system integrator will take care of the discharge of the empty boxes or crates.
The rotary box emptier is accessible for cleaning and maintenance through the doors in the side panels. These doors are fitted with an emergency stop safety device to allow safe cleaning of the belts and the machine.
- Raised version for routing “U” configuration
- Feeding belt full boxes/crates of product to be packed

The inspection table consists of a roller conveyor, with aluminium rollers with a diameter of 50 mm on a Pitch of 35 mm. This allows a maximum gap between the rollers of 20 mm. The rollers are 1000 mm wide. On both sides, there is space for 4 operators. A total of 8 employees can work at this inspection table simultaneously. The maximum operator reach is 50 cm. A divider bar divides the product over 2 tracks. The table is equipped with lighting for good inspection of the product.
Class 2 product is discharged by a 250 mm wide belt above the inspection table. This belt transfers the product at right angles onto a discharge belt to a Class 2 box provided by the customer.
Waste product is discharged by 2 belts located at the bottom of the inspection table. These two belts transfer the product at right angles on a discharge conveyor to a box for waste product.
All belts are frequency-controlled, apart from the perpendicular discharge belt for derby and rot product.
