About second-hand Vibratory pregraders

A vibratory sieve (also called a screener or shaker) is primarily used to separate products from soil, sand, stones and and/or root balls. A vibratory sieve is also an ideal machine for grading products, as this can also be used as a filter for smaller products. This can be set by adjusting the distance between the bars.

Vibratory sieve for flower bulbs

Vibratory sieves are primarily used in the processing of flower bulbs. The vibrating action of the sieve will loosen any soil left clinging to the bulbs, after which the product can move further along the processing line. Vibratory sieves can also be used to remove soil and/or small stones or rocks from numerous other products, such as potatoes and onions. They are also highly convenient in the recycling sector, where they can be used to clean and purify recyclable materials, and to filter out any items that are substandard in terms of size.

The vibratory sieve as a grading (and pre-grading) machine

Vibratory sieves are available in various lengths and widths, to facilitate the grading, sorting or filtering of a wide variety of products. Longer vibratory sieves can also be used to grade products in a wide range of sizes. They can therefore be ideally deployed as grading machines. Used vibratory sieves are available in a variety of models. Some can be used to filter out substandard objects or soil, which is subsequently deposited in cubic crates, while others are equipped with conveyor belts beneath the sieves to allow the product being filtered out to be discharged immediately.

Two types of vibratory sieves: eccentric shaft or vibratory motors

Vibratory sieves generally have two types of drive systems: eccentric shaft or vibratory (also called eccentric-balance) motors. If the vibratory sieve is driven by an eccentric shaft motor, it is shaken back and forth by means of an eccentric shaft. This type of machine is suitable for filtering out substandard flower bulbs. Vibratory (or eccentric balance) motor-powered vibratory sieves were introduced to the market much later. Thanks to this drive system, the machine’s vibrations are easier to control and less powerful, which makes them better suited for filtering and removing sand from products through vibration. In addition, a vibratory engine makes less noise in comparison to an eccentric shaft motor.
