About second-hand Spraying wagons

Spray carts are frequently used in the horticulture industry, particularly by growers of vegetables, flowers and ornamental plants. In this sector, spray carts are used to spray crops with pesticides or to clean greenhouses. Spray carts are available in a variety of models and sizes, and their tanks can hold from approximately 200 to 1000 litres. You can choose a spray cart from a variety of brands, such as Empas, Weterings, Brinkman, Ripa and Maasmond.

Which type of pump is best suited to my situation?

Spray carts come with several different types of pumps: plunger pumps, membrane pumps and centrifugal pumps. A plunger pump raises the pressure on the fluid from low to high and is suitable for clean fluids. The capacity of this pump can reach up to 500 bar at maximum. This pump is also described as a high-pressure pump. A membrane pump is better suited to fluids that are less pure and has a maximum capacity of up to 45 bar. If fluids do not need to be pumped with pressure build-up you can opt for a centrifugal pump.

The pump can be driven by an electric or a petrol motor, in which the choice of motor generally depends on whether you want to use the spray cart in a greenhouse or outdoors.

How do I find the right spray cart?

To be certain that you are ordering the right spray cart for your nursery, it is important to carefully examine a few criteria. Are you planning to clean your greenhouse or combat pests, and how high or low should the pressure be? When you know the answers to these questions, you can choose the right spray cart and accompanying pump. If you plan to use it on a large surface area we recommend selecting a spray cart with a large volume tank.

Spray cart with hose reel

When comparing used spray carts it is also important to look at a cart’s equipment. Spray carts can be equipped with a mechanical hose reel, a spring reel (up to 30 m) or an electrically-powered hose reel. Electrical hose reels are operated by remote control and can be rolled up automatically. They are also available as stand-alone appliances.
