About second-hand Shaking bedlifters

Shaking bed lifters are multi-purpose reapers suitable for lifting leeks, carrots, chicory, black salsify, beetroot, roses, strawberry plants, asparagus plants and tree nursery crops. The sharp trimmers at the bottom and sides ensures that the vegetables or plants are cut from deep roots. When harvesting, the shaking bedlifter moves with a strong, oscillating movement underneath the crop, causing the vegetables or plants  to lay loose in the top soil. This enables the lifted produce to be picked  up simply by hand.

The shaking bedlifters manufactured by Basrijs, Schrauwen, Elco, Compas and Peecon are attached to the three point hitch of the tractor, which also sets the depth of the trimming discs. The shaking mechanism is driven by an eccentric shaft which is connected to the power take-off. The shaking bed lifters offered below can differ on several points such as the structure and the operational width. Shaking bed lifting machines can in addition be equipped with single or double  shakers. For harvesting strawberries and asparagus plants, the double grubber version are best. A reciprocating bed lifter is often desirable for harvesting nursery trees with lots of roots. This dynamic cutter blade can be found on some of the grubbers made by Elco and Schrauwen.
