About second-hand Rose sorting & processing machines

One of the most well-known flowers that is sorted is the rose. Various suppliers, including Aweta, Bercomex and Jamafa, have solutions for efficiently sorting and bunching this flower. Generally speaking, there are two types of rose sorting machines, the box sorter and the bunch machine.

Rose processing machines

The rose processing machine automatically sorts roses by length, and then evenly binds them in bunches and can also pack them. The roses are hung by their heads in the rose processing machines. The length of the stem is electronically measured by the machine. A camera for measuring the thickness of the stems or the degree of opening (bloom) of the rose is optional. The rose processing machine then sends the rose to the correct bunching station. Roses are bound in bunches of 10, 15 or 20 here and then cut to one length. This way of sorting is very efficient and labour-saving and has a capacity of up to 10,000 roses per hour. In addition a rose processing machine from Aweta or Jamafa ensures an increase in quality by making uniform, tight bunches.

Length sorting machine for flowers

The length sorting machine is a somewhat older system that was originally developed for sorting roses. Due to the proven reliability and efficiency, these sorting machines are also used nowadays for sorting various small flowers, volume flowers by length and root and stem removal by fruit growers. Several examples are hypericum, zantedeschias, tulips, floribunda roses, peonies, skimmia and the snowberry. The extremely solid length sorting machines from both Olimex and Jamafa are popular with many growers because of their easy maintenance and affordable price.
