Got a machine for sale?

We are constantly looking for good quality agricultural and horticultural machinery.

About second-hand Denesters

In the cultivation of flowers and plants, as well as in the food industry, trays and/or trays are widely used. These trays and trays are often delivered in stacks, convenient and compact, but they need to be separated before use. Doing this by hand is too labor-intensive for many growers. To overcome this, destackers, also known as unstackers, are used.

Destackers are machines that can quickly separate trays or trays using a screw or vacuum. Opting for second-hand destackers significantly saves on the initial purchase price. Additionally, destackers are highly reliable machines that have a long lifespan. Therefore, they are an excellent choice for purchasing second-hand.

On this page, you will find all the second-hand destackers that we currently have in stock. We are constantly searching for the best-used destacker machines, so our inventory is constantly changing. If you are looking for a used destacker, keep an eye on this page, or subscribe to our email alerts to receive immediate updates on our new offerings.

What is a destacker?

So, a destacker or unstacker is a machine that rapidly and precisely separates stacks of trays or trays. Often, destackers are added to a production line so that the separated trays or trays can be filled, for example, with potting soil.

There are basically two types of destackers: screw destackers, which use a rotating screw to unstack trays, or vacuum destackers, which operate using a vacuum.

Screw or pneumatic destacker?

The most standard destacker is one that operates with a screw. These machines come with different types of screws, and the difference lies mainly in the adjustability of the screws.

Vacuum or pneumatic destackers work using a vacuum and suction cups, which unstack the trays or trays in this way. The advantage of a pneumatic destacker is that it works for many sizes.

Screw Destacker

Screw destackers operate using a rotating screw, which, through its rotational movement, separates the trays or trays and feeds them to the production line. What is important with screw destackers is that the screw is suitable for the tray size you want to unstack. Some screws are fully adjustable, allowing you to unstack almost all sizes of trays, while others are specifically designed for one particular size. Therefore, it is crucial to consider the dimensions of your trays when purchasing such a destacker. If in doubt, you can always contact one of our experts for advice on which (screw) destacker is most suitable for you.

Screw destackers have a capacity of approximately 150 to 300 trays per minute. This speed is higher than that of pneumatic destackers.

Pneumatic Destacker

A vacuum destacker has the significant advantage that it can be used for trays and trays of all sizes. This is beneficial if you fill various sizes of trays. Therefore, pneumatic destackers are often used when a screw destacker is not suitable for specific sizes of trays or trays.

Pneumatic destackers have a somewhat lower capacity than screw destackers, usually around 120 to 150 trays per minute.

Buffer Systems

Automatically unstacking trays and trays is undoubtedly a solution, but the stacks at these machines often still need to be manually supplied. By using a matching buffer system, this can also be overcome.

A buffer system automatically presents the stacks at the destacker's position, allowing it to unstack the stacks and feed them to, for example, the tray filling machine. This automates the entire process from stacking to filling.
