Waste transport system

The Sormac knife peelers MS are designed for continuous peeling of pre-cleaned or pre-peeled tuberous products such as potatoes, red beets, celery, etc. Especially when post-peeling peeled but also steam-peeled products, the so-called ‘eyes’ and pressure spots are excellently removed. The end product has a very smooth appearance and looks as if peeled by hand.
The product to be peeled is transported by a transport auger through a horizontal rotating drum. This drum is fitted with a large number of knives at its periphery. By varying the speed of the drum and the speed of the transport worm, dwell time and peeling quantity can be controlled.
Due to the special shape of the drum and the placement of the knives, flat peeling of the product is effectively avoided. The waste is separated directly from the product and flung out through the rotating drum. It can be collected and disposed of in a crate or waste conveyor via the waste funnel at the bottom of the machine.
In the MS-20/Combi version, non-pre-peeled product can also be peeled. A number of peeling plates are provided in the drum to replace the effect of pre-treatment.
RLT-60/200 Roller inspection table
The Sormac roller reading table consists of a transport system with transport rollers fitted with grip profile. Laterally, the transport rollers are mounted on plastic chains that are moved by the drive. This movement causes the conveyor rollers to rotate. The product lying on top is thus rotated, allowing visual inspection from all sides. The transport rollers are easy to exchange.
