General features of spading machines:

-   facilitation of land drainage and reduction of the risk of soil being washed down off slopes, as the cultivated soil does not rest on the hard layer which is, on the contrary, a typical negative characteristic of land worked using other rotating or drawn equipment.

-   working is homogeneous throughout the width of the machine, turning the soil in a uniform manner so as to assist in ploughing in the fertilizer, manure or stubble.
-   the worked land has a flat surface and clods are regular in size, so that it is often possible to proceed with sowing im mediately.
the tools enter the soil one at a time, allowing a minimum use of tractor power, and they last longer because they only work in descent.
-   It is the sole implement forming no compact and tight soil beds where it passes; so the roots are not hindered from better growing, nor the waters to regularly flow down. Priming in the slopes, it does not CAUSE dangerous phenomena of worked soil sliding in respect to the earth crust from which it has been progressively detached by unsuitable works.

- It reduces fuel consumption compared to conventional processes like plowing, ripping and milling.
-   It is the sole implement always warranting the clod turning over and allows to more rapidly air the soil and eliminate the noxious weeds with their roots.
-   It is the sole implement requiring no tractive and braking effort from the tractor and consequently it can be used also in the remarkable slopes without any inconvenience and in full safety.
