The universal knife peeler is able to efficiently process products such as carrots that have a diameter of 25 to 65 mm and are at least 160 mm long.

The Sormac UP-8000, a universal knife peeler, is specially designed for peeling long products such as carrots, radishes and cucumbers. The working process starts with the placement of the product on the V-belt, which conveys the product to the first transport rollers. It is worth noting that no alignment is required for carrots, unless they have an exceptionally conical shape.

The machine has numerous transport rollers that move the product horizontally through the machine. In the course of the transport, the product passes through eight peeling stations, which ensure that the product is completely peeled.

Another advantage of the UP-8000 are the knife stations and transport rollers equipped with quick-release clamps. They allow the components to be changed quickly, which makes maintenance and cleaning much easier.

Waste disposal has also been taken into account: Peeling waste is discharged at the bottom of the machine and collected in waste containers.

In addition, the machine's sound level is below 70 dB, which makes it relatively quiet and minimises noise in the production environment.
