Verhoest leek planting machines

The Verhoest planter for leeks is equipped with shares to loosen the soil. After loosening the soil, the young leek plants are transplanted via disks. A conveyor belt ensures that the young plants are inserted into the disks at uniform distances and subsequently transplanted in rows. This will result in uniformly planted rows of leeks. These machines can have a working depth of up to 20 cm. The planting distance between the rows can be adjusted from 50 to 80 cm.

Verhoest dibbing machines for leeks

In addition to planters, Verhoest also produces dibbing machines. Dibbing machines create holes in the ground, into which young plants are manually transplanted.

Leek harvester with automatic crate filler

To save time as well as labour during the harvesting process, a leek harvester that automatically fills crates with the harvested product is an interesting solution. Verhoest has equipped its automatic leek harvesters with a telescopic conveyor belt that can fill tipped leek racks. Verhoest leek harvesters are well-known for their ruggedness and durability. They are equipped with various options, such as peeling brushes that remove any loose-hanging leaves and roots.

Verhoest leek washing machine

Verhoest leek washing machines, executed in 100% stainless steel, are available in various models. These machines are equipped with single or double peeling brushes that remove soil and outer leaves (if required), which is why they are sometimes referred to as leek peeling machines. In addition to washing the leeks, these machines can also cut the vegetable’s green leaves and roots to the desired length. Verhoest leek peeling machines can process from 80 to 175 kg of leeks per hour. The machines can also be equipped with conveyor belts to discharge any soil clinging to the product.
