Sorma weighing machines

The weighing machines of Sorma are characterised as rapid and accurate. As such, they are particularly suitable for smaller weights (from 100 grams up to 10 kg). First, multiple weighing heads are filled with a small weight, by means of vibrating chutes. Subsequently a computer calculates which combination of the weighing heads reaches the set minimal weight, with minimal excess. The Sormac weighing machine can be used for weighing different types of fruit and vegetables, such as carrots, onions, potatoes, lettuce varieties, carrots, beans, cherry tomatoes, cut vegetables or chips.

Sorma packing machines

Sorma supplies packing machines for various vegetables and fruit, such as potatoes, onions, carrots, paprika, citrus fruit, apples, stone fruits, tomatoes, aubergines and courgettes. Usually, for every type of packaging, a specific type of packing machine was developed, such as bag filling machines, punnet packing machines and net packing machines, such as clippers.

Sorma palletisers

Palletisers can be divided into two categories; push-type palletisers and robot palletisers.

A robot palletiser, or clam palletiser with a robot arm, is a palletiser that makes use of an automatic pinch arm to position the products on the pallet.

In case of push-type palletisers a stacking pattern is realised on a plate, per layer, after which the machine stacks the pallet per layer. This makes the capacity of this type of machine higher than that of a robot palletiser, where the machine is to position each individual packaging on the pallet. An even higher capacity can be achieved by feeding two boxes or crates on top of each other onto the plate. Another advantage of the push-type palletiser is that this type is more suitable for heavier boxes.

The possibilities and specifications of the different used Sorma palletisers differ per machine. When selecting a suitable machine it is important that the palletiser is able to process the correct box- and pallet sizes. In many cases, the machines will be able to manage a number of pre-programmed stacking patterns for certain sizes of boxes and pallets.
