Imants is a Dutch manufacturer of tillage equipment for the agricultural and horticultural industries. The company has been in business for over 125 yearsas a manufacturer of spading machines, JNC rotary tillers, turfcare machinery and decontaminators. Imants is particularly renowned for its high-quality spading machines and rotary tillers. The Imants factory is located in Reusel, the Netherlands.

Imants owes its success largely to the development of the spading machine. Although the first spading machines were built around 50 years ago, they only became popular among farmers and horticulturalists after the invention of the power-operated rake roll. The rake roll was further developed by Imants in the course of the next years.

Imants also tailors basicrotary tiller technology to specific crops, such as the Imantsh hillfomers for asparagus.

Imants JNC rotovators

As the Imants JNC rotovator does not have a chain case to its side, its working width is the same as that of the machine’s body. This is highly efficient, and makes the machine is suitable for precision work such as tilling along tightly set lines in greenhouses.The tilling machines are solidly built and, thanks to their central drive system, are highly resistant to wear and tear. The blades can be accessed for inspection and maintenance from above following removal of the safety guards. Duijndam Machines has a variety of JNC rotovators with different widths in stock. Some models feature hydraulically adjustable cage rolls and an ‘Overtop’ mechanism. An ‘overtop’ rotary tiller tills the soil in the opposite direction compared to a conventional tiller, enabling coarser soil to be tilled multiple times to achieve a finer result.
