The plants are planted directly in the ground by means of cups that directly make a hole in the ground.

Harvesting machines for lettuce and herbs

Hortech has different types of harvesting machines, each with their own specific properties. A band saw or other types of cutting blades usually cut the lettuce or herbs near the ground. With good blades, a clean cutting pattern can be achieved. The cutting height of the blade can be controlled by using sensors. Depending on the type of harvesting machine, the product arrives on a conveyor belt after the blade. The lettuce or herbs are collected in crates at the end of this conveyor belt. This way, the lettuce or herbs can be harvested with minimum effort and maximum yield.
