About second-hand Damcon machines

Damcon has been a specialist in machinery for tree nurseries for over 40 years. The company has since grown into a manufacturer of a wide range of arboricultural machinery. We regularly have the following types of used Damcon machines in stock.

Damcon planting machines

Damcon offers a variety of planters, of which Duijndam Machines sells mainly the PL10 and PL30-90 models.

The PL10 is Damcon’s smallest planter. It can be used to plant rootstocks, whips and conifers. The PL-10 is available as a 1, 2, 3 or 4-row planting machine. It has a daily planting capacity of 4000 to 5000 plants per row and is available in plough widths of 5, 10, 15 or 20 cm.

The Damcon PL30-90 is one of the larger planting machines and is equipped with a spading element. Planting avenue trees and larger conifers is easy with the Damcon PL30-90. The planters are available in plough widths between 30 and 90 cm and groove depths between 30 and 50 cm.

Tree spades

Damcon produces a broad range of tree spades. Some can be mounted behind a tractor or onto a mini excavator. The attachment for mini-excavators is the KLR-300 ST, which is a good choice if you used a PL10 for planting machine. Damcon also produces self-propelled tree spades. The lifting capacity for the machines with a root ball diameter between 30 cm and 50 cm is 150 root balls per hour. Machines with a larger root ball diameter have a capacity between 40 and 60.

Tree lifting machines

Damcon also produces self-propelled tree lifting machines for lifting bare-root trees, such as the Selector-450 and the Selector-470. 

Damcon Selector 450:

• Equipped with two types of blades: 30-50 cm or 50-70 cm
• Lifts trees with a maximum girth of 16-18 or 18-20 cm

Damcon Selector 470:

• Equipped with two types of blades: 50-70 cm or 80-100 cm
• Lifts trees with a maximum girth of 20-25 or 25-30 cm

Damcon also produces undercutting ploughs intended for undercutting trees like conifers, avenue trees and forsythias.

Elevator platforms and pruning platforms

Damcon pruning platforms can vary in standing height from 2.20 to 4.50 metres.  The elevator platforms can also be driven by various power sources. The pruning platforms can be powered by a diesel, petrol or electric motor that can be fitted with a solar panel. They can also be supplied with a width-adjustable platform.  This allows you to work in narrow as well as wide rows.
