Duijndam opens new location

Since its founding in 1977, Duijndam Machines has been located on the Tweede Tochtweg in Nieuwerkerk aan den IJssel. However, after various expansions, the limits of this location have been reached. Because the growth ambitions are not yet at an end, Duijndam Machines is constructing a new location in Hazerswoude.

Building supervisor Visie presents new location

Over the past 40 years, Duijndam Machines has experienced significant growth, and this will be further evident with the new location. Building supervisor Visie has created the design for the new location, which will be developed in Hazerswoude at the ITC Site.

Robbert indicates that the project is currently in the tender phase. Therefore, they are still looking for a developer to bring this location to reality.

More space to continue growing

The current location, 600m2 in size, has housed Duijndam Machines for almost 50 years. Given the growth the company has experienced since then, it's no surprise that Duijndam is in need of a new location. The development possibilities at the current site are limited, so a new location has been chosen to give Duijndam Machines the space to continue growing and remain the leading supplier of second-hand agricultural machinery in the Benelux.

Improved workshop

A major advantage of the new location is that there will be more space for the workshop, says Robbert Duijndam. "Our philosophy is that buyers of second-hand machines should be able to use them for years to come. To fulfill this promise, we must provide only reliable machines. This naturally begins with our strict purchasing policy, but the workshop also plays a crucial role in this."

The new location will have more space for the workshop, allowing machines to be repaired more efficiently and providing room for new, skilled technicians, enabling us to carry out more complex repairs in-house.

Duijndam Machines prepares for the next phase

So, the new location not only provides space for more storage, allowing Duijndam to deliver even more machines from stock, but also offers more space for our own workshop and additional technicians, so we can perform more repairs in-house, explains Robbert. In addition, a portion of Duijndam's offerings involve supplying production lines. A larger workshop will make it possible to manufacture these production lines at our location, making our offerings even better aligned with customer needs.

Furthermore, Duijndam is significantly expanding office space, allowing for additional office staff. Additional office staff is crucial, as they are primarily responsible for purchasing new machines.
